Essentially, if you're visiting or on a campus tour, don't come here unless you're inebriated. Yes, it's that kind of place. The pizza magically tastes amazing with that added drunkenness, but really, any other time, it is just good pizza. There are better options available in Chapel Hill and Durham, but if you're looking for a quick and cheap snack, then by all means, drop in.
It's not bad, it's not great. They're worth a visit... after a drink... or if you're feeling cheap or if you're starving... outside of that, enjoy what Franklin Street has to offer and take advantage of it.
I love NY Pizza has been around for years, and I've always been good with it. For a college student's budget, it's also a great option.
Staff is friendly. -

OVERPRICED, RUDE, TERRIBLE PIZZA
I was swindled to pay extra and the pizza was terrible. I'm a native New Yorker and have never paid this much for a slice of pizza this bad.
The manager was rude and was an asshole when I complained. Don't give this hole in the wall any business. -

Service was slow. Pizza was under flavored and Croat was undercooked. This place should be named Not NY pizza.

This is the worst pizza I have ever tasted. Pizzas sit in the windows for hours on end which is not good food safety practice. I ordered a cheese pie, dough was still raw and the sauce and cheese were lazily thrown on with no care in the world. Again, I highly recommend that you do not eat here.

Good place to grab a quick bite late at night. The pizza is pretty good but it isn't necessarily the most fresh and at 4.30$ per slice, I find it quite pricy (maybe just my opinion since I've so use to eating Costco and Sams Club pizza). Still worth a try as a source of drunk food though.
